The Zion 1 Unveils a Bunch of Debut Colourways

Jordan Brand have officially unveiled  Zion Williamson’s first signature model – the Zion 1 – revealing four debut colourways to the launch the exciting model in style. Designed specifically for the explosive athleticism of the young power forward, the Zion 1 also looks to lettering and superhero armour for its distinctive look. 

According to Vianney de Montgolfier, Senior Footwear Designer for Jordan Sport, ‘Zion’s main inspirations for the look of the shoe was superhero armour. But when we thought about an icon or symbol that could clearly draw out the shoe’s benefits, the “Z” made perfect sense to us. It’s the letter for speed, it has the base for power, and it’s maybe the most distinguishable letter in the alphabet. There’s nothing else like it.”

Four debut colourways will help to usher in this bold new design, with each telling their own story about Zion’s unshakable commitment to his personal values and upbringing. The black and white ‘Gen Zion’ kicks things off on April 23 with a limited release in New Orleans. And will be followed by wider drops of the ‘ZNA’ on May 5, the ‘Noah’ on May 19, and the ‘Marion’ on May 26. You can check the pics for each of those looks above.
