The Winner Of The Pensole World Sneaker Championship
The winning design of the is going to be released at select Foot Locker stores across the globe tomorrow. The winner, by nineteen year-old Maxwell Lund (US) beat out sixty-four finalists from all over the world, taking home the title of 2016’s best sneaker design.
Hand made in Portugal in a tonal maroon colourway, these are constructed from no less than three different strains of premium Portuguese leather. The sneaker features a ‘For Ever’ modeled EVA outsole, as well as metal hardware tips on the laces. 'World Sneaker Championship' branding is embossed on the heel, and each pair is individually numbered under the tongue. The lasered signature of the creator finishes off the unique details, and each pair comes with a box which doubles as a backpack, courtesy of straps which are included in the package.
Only 300 pairs will be released in Footlocker stores worldwide; New York, Los Angeles, Portland, Toronto, Sydney, London, Paris, Milan, and Madrid will be the only cities you can pull off a walk-in cop. Limited pairs will hit Footlocker’s US and European online stores.
