The Nike VaporMax Gets the D/MS/X TreatmentRelease: 13 July 2019
After news surfaced that Nike were adding three new labels to their sportswear line, we’ve been drip-fed little bits here and there of upcoming designs. So far, there's been two silhouettes announced from each of the inbound ranges, with the second instalment of the D/MS/X line being a new take on the VaporMax.
While each range has its own primary focus on aesthetic design, the D/MS/X sits on the edge of sportswear construction, pushing the limits of sports functionality to arrive at a boundary-pushing final product. The latest iteration of the VaporMax celebrates experimentation. A leather lace cage has been split into two, clear plastic overlays have been placed on the toe-box and heel, a bootie-constructed fit has been secured by a leather strap, and pull tabs have been indiscreetly attached. While we’re still unsure of what else the D/MS/X will bring us, this is a great indicator of the Beaverton design tech that’s about to come.
Make sure you get a pair when they release in July from Nike.
