The Three Stripes Commits to Gender Pay Equality

Adidas Equal Pay Day 1Adidas Equal Pay Day 1

The are the latest brand to double-down on their commitment to gender pay equality, as they partner with LeanIn.Org to raise awareness for pay disparity. In the US, women are paid, on average, 20 per cent less than men, with minorities facing an even bigger gap. This discrepancy means that women would have to work an extra 100 days a year to receive the same median earnings as men.

To mark Equal Pay Day on April 10, adidas and Lean In highlighted workplace inequality by urging their customers to think about the pay gap and the impact it has, asking customer’s, ‘What if you got 20 per cent less than you ordered?’.

Turning inward, the Three Stripes have also committed to equal pay for their employees — they are currently at 98 per cent equality — and to increase the number of women in executive positions.
