The Sun Shines on the Pharrell Williams x adidas Hu NMD
was a serious hype-driver back in 2016. Team Trefoil were riding high on the popularity of BOOST, and Yeezy and the NMD dominated the sneakersphere. The brand’s cred rocketed to never-before-seen heights when Williams took his hand to the all-conquering Nomad. Then, following years of monster releases, the silhouette took a break. Well, the respite is over and in recent months the Hu NMD has been revived.
Next up for the Hu is a sunny iteration washed in all-over yellow. The Primeknit, BOOST, TPU cage, and all the trimmings receive a hit of gold, while black piping around the collar provides the contrast. The signature ‘Human Race’ branding once again takes prime position on the forefoot, where embroidered Hindi spells out Williams’ message of humanity.
