Italian streetwear stalwart Slam Jam continue to partner with Converse to provide the sneaker industry with plenty of heat, the powerhouse duo recently linking-up for the teched-out Converse Bosey.

Luca Benini is now turning his attention to the Converse Chuck 70, the Slam Jam collaboration a testament to Luca's love of 1980s American rock.

A homage to American counterculture both on and off the stage, Slam Jam’s latest endeavour deconstructs one of the most iconic silhouettes from Converse’s vast catalogue. Manufactured with frayed edging reminiscent of punk rock’s DIY aesthetics, the Chuck 70 is emblazoned with a tonal Slam Jam logo recalling the anarchist logo popular throughout the period.

The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star logo of course blasts the uppers, while down below, the interminable black pinstripe sits in contrast to the light grey border between the sole unit and upper.

Finally, muted grey laces extend the faux-worn aesthetic, while Slam Jam’s customised packaging highlight Benini’s legendary imprint.

The Converse x Slam Jam Chuck Taylor 70 is available right now from Slam Jam Milano. The retail price is $117.
