The Slam Jam and ASICS Novablast Colab is Explosive!

Having previous created cooperative classics on retro models in the and , the Italy-based organisation look to the future with the cutting-edge runner. This modern model, while an aesthetic departure from earlier efforts, is still decorated in a way that’s distinctly Slam Jam.
The Novablast is made for both runners and the runway, which enhances Slam Jam’s (Un)corporate uniform concept, whereby the individual components of an outfit are interchangeably versatile, and aren’t selected for a single purpose. A colour palette of silver, greys, black, and deep red overlap with Slam Jam’s carefully considered brand language, while also recalling some classic ASICS shades. And, of course, both brands love a bit of reflective material, which is smattered across the Tiger Stripes.
Beyond the colourway, the Novablast eschews ASICS’ iconic GEL technology for their latest FLYTEFOAM BLAST midsole compound, which Slam Jam highlight with a strong black and silver two-toned look. Up top, a combination of breathable open mesh is locked down by silver welded overlays for lightweight and seamless support.
Raffles for the Slam Jam x ASICS Novablast open from November 17 ahead of a November 21 release at Slam Jam locations, followed by a wider release at selected global boutiques on November 26.
