The Reebok Question Mid ‘Yellow Toe’ Revisits a Kobe Bryant Classic
Release: TBC

Revisiting Kobe Bryant’s player exclusive pair worn during his sneaker free agency in 2002-03, the Reebok Question Mid ‘Yellow Toe’ will land in November this year.

Originally scheduled to land last February during All-Star Weekend in Chicago, the release was postponed after the tragic passing of Kobe Bryant.

Belonging to Reebok’s ‘Alternate Basketball Pack’ (featuring two colourways of the Question Mid and one colourway of the Kamikaze), the designs all pay homage to alternate jerseys of the 90s and 00s.

The Reebok Question Mid ‘Yellow Toe’ takes aesthetic cues from alternate Lakers’ jerseys typically worn on Sundays and public holidays, the full grain leather uppers, cult hexagonal cushioning, and embroidered logos still looking fresh in 2020.

After reportedly paying $8 million to opt out of his adidas contract in 2002, Kobe Bryant was barred – due to contractual obligations – from signing with another brand until 2003. Thus began the famed 2002-03 season, which was arguably the most fascinating sneaker season of Kobe’s entire career.
