Reebok recently reissued the Pump Omni Zone 2 in its memorable black/white/orange OG colourway to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Dee Brown’s incredible ‘no look’ dunk at the 1991 NBA Slam Dunk contest. Now, the flip of that palette will be coming soon in clean white.

This colourway is a staple of 90s Reebok basketball, and has emerged before on the Pump Omni Lite throughout the years. However, as ardent fans of the Pump series (and Reebok themselves) noted, the Pump Omni Zone 2 is a truer-to-OG specification of the model Brown rocked back in ’91. Therefore, in a way, this new white release is the first ‘proper’ retro.

Reebok have made some small changes that result in big differences from previous reissues. The main update is a higher ankle cut as opposed to the more mid-height finish of earlier retros. Elsewhere, white leather and black mesh uppers, extra toe box perforations, and corduroy ankle lining are a lot closer to the 1991 OG. Some smaller details like Pump branding changes are likely only to be noticed by more eagle eyed sneakerheads.

This new colourway of the Reebok Pump Omni Zone 2 is scheduled to release on May 21 from Reebok and selected retailers like Foot Locker, Finish Line, and Champs.
