The Peanuts x PUMA Ralph Sampson Bounces Onto the Scene
have joined forces with Peanuts for a sugar-sweet colab that includes footwear, apparel and accessories for all the family. As always here at Sneaker Freaker, we tend to look below the ankles, and that’s where we’ve noticed the featuring Snoopy dribbling a basketball along the top of the midsole.
It’s a neat rendition of the retro baller, taking a clean white base and adding vibrant touches of navy, yellow and orange – mostly around the heal area. There’s also co-branding on the tongue, the aforementioned balling Snoopy on the lateral side, and a cheeky little ‘SWOOSH!’ scribbled on the medial side.
Charles M. Schulz first introduced the world to the Peanuts characters in 1950, when the comic strip debuted in seven newspapers in the USA. Since then, Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts gang have left an indelible mark on popular culture. After 70 years and nearly 18,000 comic strips, the Peanuts gang remains a staple in pop culture and has found a place in the hearts of people from all over the world.
This is certainly not Peanuts’ first foray into sneaker colabs, with team-ups in recent years including , and .
