Hot on the heels of the Snoopy-adorned Ralph Sampson spotted yesterday,  PUMA are also preparing to release a Future Rider with the Peanuts gang. Part of a wider collaborative collection between the Big Cat and Peanuts – which includes footwear, apparel and accessories for all the family – this Future Rider is a slightly more low-key cartoon flex, with sketches of Charlie Brown and Snoopy balling confined to the Formstripe. Charlie makes another appearance on the tongue co-branding, while Snoopy bounces along on the insole.

The world was introduced to Charles M. Schulz’s Peanuts characters way back in 1950 when the comic strip debuted in seven newspapers across the USA. Since then, Charlie, Snoopy and the rest of the gang have left an indelible mark on popular culture. After 70 years and nearly 18,000 comic strips, the Peanuts gang retains a place in the hearts of people from all over the world.

This is certainly not Peanuts’ first foray into sneaker colabs, with team-ups in recent years including Diadora, Vans and Bata.

Pairs of the Peanuts x PUMA Future Rider are currently listed on PUMA’s website to be available for orders on January 20.
