The NMD XR1 Comes Ready for Cuffing SeasonRelease: 1 December 2017
By the looks of it, adidas' NMD is tired of being the in-demand model that everyone keeps hitting up. Now that the temperature's cooling, the too-cool-for-school sneaker just wants some stability, and maybe some hugs.
To make itself an appealing candidate for cuffing season, the NMD XR1 has grown up a little. The XR1's two winter iterations boast a sophisticated olive and beige wardrobe. Of course, the most notable change is the addition of a high ankle cuff: if your ankles have been dying for a little snug love, you're in luck.
Whoever couples up with this reinvented XR1 will be kept extra cosy at all times, thanks to a knitted upper and a comfy full BOOST midsole. Its signature lace cage offers additional support, and welded seams ward off any rogue wetness.
Is this the seasonal boot your heart's been searching for? It's releasing right as winter kicks off, so you have plenty of time to find out if it's the perfect match.
