The Nike V-Love Ox is an 80s Sneaker for Now
A combination of design elements from the 1980s V-Series, it looks like have given the V-Love OX a contemporary touch.
Funnily enough, the suede and nylon sewn panel construction of decades past seems to give the hybrid model an unironic ‘de-constructed’ appearance, only bolstered further by the translucent Swoosh and forefoot detailing. An inverted tongue label cashes in on current inside-out trends – as do the elevated outsole lugs.
All in all, it appears to be a sympathetic nod to runners of bygone eras packaged as a retro sneaker for the new generation. Rumoured to be dropping soon via Nike.
