Sean McDowell’s Air Max opus shows no signs of slowing down as we approach 2022, the Nike Air Tuned ‘Reverse Sunset’ rumoured to smoke shelves later this month.

Flipping the legendary Nike Tuned OG ‘Sunset’ colourway, the ‘Reverse Sunset’ is blasted with enough orange and red to make your eyes water, the burning-hot colourway emblazoned with fiery red Swooshes.

Going from red-hot to warm orange along the iconic cages, the Tuned is manufactured in murdered-out mesh uppers, while classic TN insignia appears on the heels (this time in yellow). Down below, more heat arrives via the red on the signature ‘whale tail’ midfoot shank, the blazing aesthetic offset by warm yellow Air Max units.

Finally, clean white midsoles offer a moment of respite amidst the molten-hot madness!

Expect the Nike Tuned ‘Reverse Sunset’ to singe brows at Foot Locker over the coming weeks.

Originally released a mind-boggling 23 years ago, the Nike Tuned continues to cast long shadows over the sneaker industry in 2021. Find out more about the TN’s seismic impact on sneaker culture, right here.
