The Nike Tuned ‘Lava’ is Rumoured for a Scorching Return
Originally landing in 2015, Nike’s burning-hot Tuned ‘Lava’ is rumoured to be make a scorching return in the coming weeks. One of the most coveted colourways in the vast Tuned catalogue, this liquid-fire rendition is not for the faint-hearted. Manufactured in full-red, Daredevil-like mesh uppers, the silhouette is given aesthetic depth by a darker shade of red on the rubber midsole and outsole.
Featuring designer Sean McDowell’s inimitable TPU overlays (originally modelled on Florida’s palm trees), it certainly didn’t take long for the TN to transcend its performance roots to become a lifestyle kingpin. The latest Tuned ‘Lava’ colourway retains all the groundbreaking DNA of the seven-bubble bad boy from Nike’s Air Max family, while still bringing in a contemporary, retina-tearing palette for 2021.
Brash, bold and badass as usual, whispers suggest the Nike Tuned ‘Lava’ will be returning within weeks. Considering the original ‘Lava’ released exclusively at Foot Locker, it might pay to keep an eye on their website for official confirmation.
