Towards the end of last year, Jordan enthusiast J23 App revealed official images of the Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Court Purple’. After a momentary breather between releases (with the exception of the ‘Street Hawker’ last week), SB Dunkmania is set to kick off again this weekend – at least in some parts of the world.
As previously seen, the ‘Court Purple’ colourway borrows its palette from a series of high profile Air Jordan 1s that have been among the most coveted releases. After all, it’s a simple and clean combination of white, black and ‘Court Purple’ across a leather upper. The SB Dunk Low also has the advantage of more modern performance tech like Zoom Air insoles, plus beefier tongue padding and lining – they are skate shoes, after all. The royal shade of purple will likely have the same success on the Dunk; not to mention its current zeitgeist within the hype and skate sneaker world.,
Which segues nicely into the somewhat curious (though, in this day and age, to be expected) allocation of this release (so far) to European lifestyle-oriented accounts like END. and SNS, who currently have raffles open for a January 23 release. No word regarding a Stateside drop – yet.
