The Nike PG 5 ‘Pao Jiao’ Is a Spicy SneakerRelease: TBCColourway: ‘Pao Jiao’
Colourway: ‘Pao Jiao’
The Nike PG 5 has emerged in a spicy ‘Pao Jiao’ scheme, modelled on the Sichuan pickled chilli pepper. The eye-catching green, white and red colourway combines for an eclectic aesthetic, heightened by the fish and pepper images embroidered onto the medial heel on each shoe.
The PG 5 was designed with the guiding principle that comfort is the first step towards controlling your pace on the basketball court. That’s why, according to Nike, ‘the full-length Nike Air Dot Weld Strobel cushioning of the PG 4 returns, now paired to a new lightweight, low-top profile. It’s all in service of silky-smooth movement across the floor, exemplified by the shoe’s namesake.’
The PG 5 was also created to cater for Paul George’s dynamic two-way needs. As Nike said, ‘The lacing system keeps the foot locked in and stable over the footbed, and the outsole features a multi-directional tread pattern to help provide stop-and-go traction during play’.
Pairs of the PG 5 ‘Pao Jiao’ are expected to be served up at Nike and selected Swoosh stockists very soon. Will you take a taste?
