The Nike  Killshot is preparing to nail down an ‘Off Noir’ colourway, the low-profile retro tennis shoe looking right at home in the essentially two-tone look. There’s something really alluring about an uncomplicated colourway on an uncomplicated silhouette, and that’s exactly what this release offers.

The upper is constructed with a deliberate mix of suede, mesh and leather, while the clean white sole unit continues the retro flavour – as does the exposed foam peeking out from the top of each tongue.

In addition to all this, it’s not every day that a sneaker’s name and its colourway match in such a symbiotic fashion. As a film genre, ‘Noir’ is known for its black and white aesthetic, regular use of flashbacks as a story-telling mechanism, and more than a few scenes of lethal gun fights. The parallels between that and a late-70s sneaker called the ‘Killshot’ aren’t too hard to find, and add an extra layer to the reasons why this pair is worth considering. But then there’s that whole uncomplicated colourway on an uncomplicated silhouette, so let’s not overthink it.

Pairs are expected to land at Nike and selected Swoosh stockists on October 2, so get these in your crosshairs, they’ll be a worthy addition to your rotation.
