The Nike Air Zoom BB NXT Prepares to Launch
After providing a earlier this year, Beaverton have now provided official imagery and release dates for two colourways of the . Designed with a clear focus on providing elite energy return and improved cushioning, the Air Zoom BB NXT is the perfect model for the modern basketballer.
According to the Senior Creative Director for Nike Basketball footwear, Ross Klein, ‘We now have athletes that are “positionless”, and generate the values of all positions on court. Within the NBA alone, these positionless athletes face a gruelling journey... Fatigue is the enemy, and endurance is the goal.’
Those modern demands have been specifically catered for with the two Air Zoom units that have been placed under the ball of the foot to absorb the wearer’s energy while also provide much-needed responsiveness.
The initial release includes two colourways: a black and green combo dubbed ‘Dangerous’, plus a white, purple and blue version known as the ‘Rawthentic’. The ‘Dangerous’ will hit Greater China on July 2 and North America on July 25. While the ‘Rawthentic’ is expected Stateside in September.
