The Nike Air Max Plus Rocks that Gradient FadeRelease: TBC
The Nike Air Max Plus is really playing to its strengths with this latest colourway, seriously rocking that notorious gradient fade. The transformation from light blue to dark blue is this design’s most obvious feature, but there’s also neat touches of white and orange to add further contrast. Plus those ribbed overlays snake their way across the upper like always – this time slithering in silver.
The Tn enjoyed a very strong finish to 2020, arguably highlighted by the Supreme colab that unleashed a fiery trio of coveted creps. And there’s been a steady stream of heater renditions to kick-start 2021 – most notably the super cute ‘Kaomoji’, and the Air Max 1 homage.
A hypnotic creation from industry veteran Sean McDowell, the Air Max Plus debuted in 1998. That wild upper takes design cues from Florida’s swaying palm trees and vibrant evening skies. The distinctive OG colourway’s dusk-inspired blue fade and moulded palm trunk–like overlays sparked a devotion within certain corners of the sneakersphere that still resonates today.
This blue and orange Air Max Plus is expected to hit Nike and selected Swoosh stockists very soon.
