The Nike Air Max Plus Pops Up in CORDURARelease: TBC
The Nike Air Max Plus has popped up with a CORDURA rendition, just when you thought this notorious silhouette couldn’t get any tougher. The unveiling of these official pics follows closely from news the Air Force 1 would be bolstered by the durable fabric, and is a welcome addition to the model that already has a battle-ready reputation.
An increasingly common addition to the build of sneakers, CORDURA’s high abrasion resistance, water repellant properties, and low weight make it an excellent fabric for footwear. But putting the CORDURA aside for a minute, this is actually a very cool colourway in its own right, the mostly-black scheme joined by careful touches of gold, often with the gradient application that looks so good on the Air Max Plus.
After first stomping onto the sneaker scene back in the late 1990s, Sean McDowell’s Air Max Plus was welcomed across the globe. In particular, McDowell’s serene vision of Florida’s beaches was warmly embraced in Australia, where the shoe quickly became known simply as the ‘TN’. You can read more here about how the Air Max Plus became a kingpin Down Under.
Pairs of this CORDURA-adorned Air Max Plus are expected to hit Nike and selected Swoosh stockists very soon.
