The Nike Air Max Plus Looks Bold in Black and White

Official pics of an uncomplicated black and white colourway on the beloved Nike  Air Max Plus are doing the rounds, and there’s sure to be plenty of TN fans keen to get their hands on these. The straightforward two-tone combo works well, with black dominating the upper, before white takes care of the sole unit down below. Elsewhere, you can see all the usual Air Max Plus goodness, including those sinister rib cages snaking their way all over the upper. 

A ground-breaking design by legendary sneaker designer Sean McDowell, the notorious Air Max Plus made its debut in 1998 – having a big impact from the very beginning. That hypnotic upper design takes aesthetic inspiration from Florida’s swaying palm trees and vibrant evening skies. The distinctive OG colourway’s dusk-inspired blue fade and moulded palm trunk–like overlays helped to attract a dedication amongst sneakerheads that’s  still  going strong in 2021. As Nike themselves once said, ‘Some athletic shoes transcend their performance roots and become a cultural phenomenon’.
