The Nike Air Max Plus Flips a Classic Colourway
The is about to flip a classic colourway from its impressive canon, delivering a ‘Reverse Sunset’ scheme that is expected to either delight or horrify OG fans of the model. Inverting the original ‘Sunset’ colourway, this rendition gives off a similar vibe to the ‘Volcano’ that released last year, starting with a black base and then using the signature rib overlays to provide the fiery colour contrast. But while the ‘Volcano’ went for a black midsole, this version sticks with the clean white midsole that also featured on those original Air Max Plus colourways.
Often referred to as the TN by those in the know, the Air Max Plus has been making a big impact on sneaker culture ever since its late-1990s debut. Filled with all the latest technological experimentation of Swoosh sneakers in that era, the Air Max Plus was particularly embraced in countries like France and Australia, where different subcultures within those communities fell in love with the TN’s belligerent aesthetic.
