The Nike Air Max 97 Next Nature Enters Stealth Mode
Christian Tresser’s supersonic continues to peel back eyelids in 2021, the bicycle-inspired silhouette released in a mountain of in-line colourways this year.
But it was unofficial, Internet-busting AM97 ‘Satan Shoes’ that really had commentators sweating back in March, the rapper and agent-provocateur installing real human blood in the Air Max unit.
Still, the black market collaboration ensured a surge in popularity for the Nike Air Max 97, the latest design a testament to the inedible DNA of the silhouette.
Belonging to Nike’s mission, the Air Max 97 Next Nature is again manufactured with recycled materials denoted by the Swoosh wheel logo on the insoles. Aesthetically, minimalism is the MO here, the triple black mesh and leather uppers elevated by 3M reflective detailing. Classic branding strikes the tongues and midfoot foam components, while down below, classic rubber outsoles complete the design.
Look for the Nike Air Max 97 Next Nature to release over the coming weeks. The retail price is $170.
