The Nike  Air Max 95 SE has tuned in to TV colour bars for its latest look, repping the vibrant kaleidoscope along the lacing eyelets and the special tongue badge. Elsewhere, the scheme adopts a tonal combo of greys along the AM95’s signature wavy upper, and is anchored by the black sole unit and laces. The design looks like it’s part of a bigger pack of Swoosh silhouettes, with a similar colourway appearing this week on the Air Max 97.

Officially known as SMPTE colour bars, the eye-catching colour combo is a television test pattern that was actually one of the very first electronic graphics ever made. Applied to a sneaker, it delivers genuine retro vibes, and is tinged with nostalgia.

If you can’t get enough of the Air Max 95, make sure you check out our list of the all-time greatest AM95s. There are so many great releases we had to break the list into Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3.

Pairs of the Nike Air Max 95 SE ‘TV Colour Bars’ are expected to be beamed into Nike and select Swoosh stockists very soon, so keep your eyes tuned.
