Expect to see your feed get redder and redder with constant reminders that the Nike Air Max 90 ‘Infrared’ retro is finally almost here. After rumours of a 2020 reissue first began circulating well over a year ago, and multiple tasty retros of its sibling colourways, the one we’ve all been waiting for is just around the corner. Overseas retailers like atmos are launching early, and these official Nike shots are only going to make those last couple of weeks even more excruciating. But, here they are again.

Your feed has probably also been hammered with the fact that it’s the AM90’s 30th anniversary this year. Nike have revised and remastered the silhouette, featuring truer-to-OG proportions, nicer materials, throwback packaging, and more accurate colours. The last of which will be the crucial factor for the ‘Infrared’. In an unprecedented move, the specified shade is actually ‘Radiant Red’, which hasn’t been used since the 1990 OG! It certainly looks more orange than previous retros – the 2008 retro gained the ‘Infrapink’ nickname because of its inaccurate saturation of the iconic Nike colour.

In any case, on-screen photos are for illustrative purposes only. These could be bright AF in person. Remember, they will release at various Nike retailers on November 9. Mark your calendars.
