Before the advent of technologies like , Nike was steadily churning out annual incremental updates to the line, a flagship series characterised by visible Air units. The last edition of this mainline before the Swoosh took a tangent was the , which is still kicking around.

Seen here in a women’s colourway, the engineered mesh upper receives a gradient finish, with ‘Hot Punch’ starting at the heel and fading into almost white at the toe. Offsetting the upper is a black Swoosh, white laces and midsole foxing. The Air unit and outsole are highlighted in the pinkish hue of the upper.
