Nike have prepared a new women's Air Huarache 'Koromogae,' named after and inspired by a Japanese tradition that stretches back to the eighth century. Occurring twice yearly, usually around the first day of June and then again around the first day of October, Koromogae is essentially a change of clothes: you put away your spring/summer clothes for your fall/winter garments or vice versa.

This Huarache aims to show both of those transitional periods, combining details that are decidedly autumnal like shaggy brown suedes and tan-coloured neoprene with bright blue and peach hues, reminiscent of spring and summer's warm sunshine and cool breezes, on the midfoot and heel. It's hard to make out fully in these images, but there's also a 'guarantee of quality' detail stamped on the neoprene heel that's partially hidden by the heel counter.

The Nike Air Huarache 'Koromogae' has already been released in Japan, but it's set to touch down in the US on November 1 and looks to be accompanied by other 'Koromogae' releases like the GTS. Its MSRP is set at $130.
