After official pics emerged a few months back, the  Nike  Air Huarache ‘Toadstool’ is now ready to pick! Featuring strong contrasts between the pinkish hue with black, this is pretty much a two-tone colour scheme – apart from the ‘Chestnut Brown’ hits on the laces and tongue branding. 2021 has been a busy year for the Huarache range, as the silhouette celebrates its 30th birthday this year. Among the highlights in the anniversary year have been a  tonal tango, an  elusive ‘Escape’, the loud  ‘Scream Green’, legendary  ‘Triple Black’, and vibrant  ‘Bright Mango’ scheme.

Inspired by Tinker Hatfield’s ‘less is more’ design language, the Air Huarache was supposedly conceived the moment the well-known Nike designer slipped his feet in and out of the neoprene booties found in water skiing boots. And that techno-minimalism is on full display on the Hua, with nylon toe boxes, rubber heel cages, and leather overlays providing the most obvious design touchpoints. Down below, cushy EVA foam midsoles with Air technology provide a super smooth ride.

Pairs of the Air Huarache ‘Toadstool’ have just landed at Nike and selected Swoosh stockists.
