The Nike Air Huarache Dips Back Into ‘Deep Magenta’Release: 27 August 2021
The Nike Air Huarache is building a super strong 2021, with new releases appearing on the regular. Featuring prominent highlight hues of ‘Aquatone’ and ‘Deep Magenta’, this scheme is actually the retro of an early-90s colourway, which is sure to please long-time fans of the Hua.
This latest Huarache colourway joins a growing bunch of looks for the silhouette that’s celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Prominent highlights among those offerings include the tonal tango, elusive ‘Escape’, loud ‘Scream Green’, and legendary ‘Triple Black’. And there was also a ‘Bright Mango’ scheme that hit news feeds last month.
The Air Huarache was inspired by Tinker Hatfield’s ‘less is more’ design language, the well-known Nike designer supposedly coming up with the idea while slipping his feet in and out of the neoprene booties found in water skiing boots. That techno-minimalism is on full display with nylon toe boxes, rubber heel cages, and leather overlays. Down below, cushy EVA foam midsoles with Air technology provide a super smooth ride.
Pairs of this ‘Deep Magenta’ Air Huarache are expected to hit shelves very soon at Nike and selected Swoosh stockists.
