The Nike  Air Huarache is continuing to enjoy its 30th birthday celebrations this year, with a steady stream of retro-flavoured schemes hitting shelves so far in 2021. The latest to emerge is this ‘Concord’ colourway, a relatively understated combination of white and two shades of blue, with all the usual Huarache goodies coming along for the ride.

This impending ‘Concord’ release will join the recently revealed tonal tango, elusive ‘Escape’, loud ‘Scream Green’, and legendary  ‘Triple Black’. And there was also a ‘Bright Mango’ scheme that hit news feeds last week.

The Air Huarache was inspired by Tinker Hatfield’s ‘less is more’ design language, with the well-known sneaker designer reportedly getting the idea while slipping his feet in and out of the neoprene booties found in water skiing boots. That techno-minimalism is on full display with nylon toe boxes, rubber heel cages, and leather overlays. Down below, cushy EVA foam midsoles with Air technology provide a super smooth ride.

Pairs of the Air Huarache ‘Concord’ are expected to hit Nike and selected Swoosh stockists very soon.
