The Nike  Air  Force 1 ‘Tiger’ has bared its claws in official pics, and will be prowling into stores very soon. Adopting a similar aesthetic to the two-pair Dunk ‘Animal Pack’ that was recently revealed, this AF-1 starts with a tonal base before adding tiger-striped suede overlays for the ultimate sneaker statement. Elsewhere, orange side Swooshes and branding points complete the vibe.

Famously designed by Bruce Kilgore, and debuting in 1982 as the first Nike basketball shoe to feature ‘Air’ cushioning, the Air Force 1 gradually transformed from being a 1980s baller to the popular lifestyle model that it is today. The fact it remains a key member of 2021’s sneaker zeitgeist is testament to the AF-1’s truly timeless aesthetic, which is still a favourite choice among sneakerheads almost 40 years after its initial release. It sure has built a strong reputation over the years, thanks to its consistent arrival in a steady stream of both collaborative and GR heat.

Pairs of the Air Force 1 ‘Tiger’ are scheduled to hit Nike and selected Swoosh stockists on June 4.
