The Nike Air Force 1 Gets Wrapped in Ribbon

There’s no denying a simple white-on-white continues to be an all-time classic staple sneaker. In a bid to mix things up a little – but not too much – Nike are constantly adding little tweaks and extra touches to the simple pure white silhouette. In recent times, we’ve seen subtle variations on the iconic shoe from Supreme and the Drew League, alongside Nike’s own double branded and React Uptowns.

Now the Swoosh have unveiled an excellent alternative to the staple AF-1 blank canvas, adding some interesting extras. The all-white upper, midsole and lining remains as standard, but a distinctive tricolour trim wraps around the top of the midsole. This patriotic red/white/navy ribbon could be inspired by the US Independence Day or France’s Bastille Day, while a navy tumbled leather Swoosh and tongue patch provide further contrast.

Expect to see these AF-1s drop sometime before summer in the northern hemisphere, and keep it locked to SF for further release info.
