The Nike Air Force 1 Gets Bolstered by CORDURARelease: TBC
Fresh from unveiling official pics of the new Air Force 1 High Utility 2.0 yesterday, Nike have now revealed an Air Force 1 that’s been bolstered by CORDURA. Dressed in a utilitarian ‘Cargo Khaki’ colourway, this release promises to be a little tougher than your average Uptown. A common addition in sneaker design, CORDURA’s high abrasion resistance, water repellant properties, and low weight make it an excellent fabric for footwear.
Commencing life as a game-changing baller, the Air Force 1 was the first Nike basketball shoe to feature ‘Air’ cushioning. After that bold on-court debut back in 1982, the AF-1 gradually evolved into more of a lifestyle option, highlighted by the fact it was the USA’s top-selling sneaker for the first half of 2021. A cornerstone of that enduring appeal is the silhouette’s timeless aesthetic, plus its ability to reinvent itself with tech upgrades like this rugged offering.
Pairs of this CORDURA-bolstered Air Force 1 in ‘Cargo Khaki’ are expected to hit Nike and selected stockists very soon. Will you add them to reinforce your rotation?
