The Nike Air Force 1 Craft Takes on Vachetta Tan
The is about to land in a handsome ‘Vachetta Tan’ colourway. It’s proven to be a popular scheme on Swoosh-adorned models in recent years, and looks right at home on this modern rendition of the iconic silhouette. The neat two-toned finish features a clean white sole unit that’s punctuated by tan stitching to match the upper.
The Air Force 1 Craft is a recent addition to the Swoosh stable, and sees important amendments made to the legendary AF-1. The little differences make a big impact here, especially the panel shapes and proportions. There’s also a gentler transition from heel to toe height, and the Swoosh placement has adjusted slightly.
While some of those design changes could be missed at first glance, the premium materials – including pliable leather and crocskin-textured accents – deserve your full attention. And Nike have left some of the more traditional elements as they usually are. There’s Air-equipped sole units, metal lace dubraes, and woven tongue labels – just as designer Bruce Kilgore intended all those years ago.
