The New Balance 991.5 Makes Those Colours PopRelease: 15 May 2021
Recent sneaker headlines have been favouring the New Balance 991 in all of its forms, and the model is celebrating its anniversary after all! NB have even hit the two-decade-old silhouette with a hybrid remake mixing its sole unit with the upper of the 1500, and now they’ve followed up with a 991.5 in a similar-looking combo that makes the colours pop!
Similar to its combination compadre, this new 991.5 uses a concoction of different materials for the upper. A classic grey mesh base is joined by a matching leather tongue, while N branding sits on a luxe red leather back panel. Suede finishes come through in monochromatic tones and are complemented by the blue toe and green and navy splashes. Also a part of the Selected Edition series, 26 per cent of this iteration will be made sustainably using surplus stock. Down below, New Balance deliver the sole unit of the 1500, dressing it in its usual white, with grey hit and black midsole.
This Made in UK New Balance 991.5 is said to be incredibly limited, and will release via their webstore on May 15.
