The New Balance 920 Receives a Tricolore TreatRelease: 30 June 2021
Despite the intense focus on other Made in England offerings, the New Balance 920 stays steady with more inline colourways to boost its profile. Not that it needed much help from the get go, following earlier releases in collaboration with Patta and ,Sneakersnstuff quickly propelling the 920 into the wdier sneakerhead consciousness. By its own merit, the new-ish silhouette has quickly become favoured for its unique panelling and nice palettes, such as this new tricolore-dipped drop.
The 920 sort of goes down an alternative timeline in NB’s premier offerings, as it’s a pastiche of various performance runners but not exactly aimed at the crowd who are shaving seconds off their PBs. Instead, this is a familiar feeling sneaker thanks to its shared ENCAP midsole with the 990v3. Up top is a same-same-but-different affair, with a reconfigured upper pattern using the lauded suede and open mesh combo in a new arrangement. There’s a lot of typical grey, white and black going on, but NB highlight choice panels with deep navy and bright red, resulting in a colourway that’ll pair well with just about anything.
This latest NB 920 colourway is available now directly from New Balance, starting from size 6 all the way up to size 13.
