The National Parks Foundation Takes the adidas ZX 8000 to YellowstoneRelease: 22 May 2021
The National Parks Foundation x adidas collection continues! Leaving their ZX 10.000C at Oregon’s Crater Lake National Park, the duo have now picked up the ZX 8000 and set their sights on Yellowstone National Park.
The National Parks Foundation is the official charity that covers 418 National Parks in the United States, and over the past few months they’ve been collaborating with adidas to highlight some of their sites using the famed ZX series. You may have seen the ZX 5000 that puts California’s Joshua Tree National Park on the map.
This Yellowstone-inspired ZX 8000 rocks a colourway packed with earthy tones, as ‘Tech Copper’ acts as the main attraction, alongside the complementary ‘Linen’ and brown hues. Down below, Team Trefoil add a pop of yellow that draws the eyes and splashes of blue through the upper and laces. Instead of the usual branding, the duo have opted for a graphic patch on the tongue, and specialised National Parks Foundation branding on the heel pull tab and insole. While the shoe boasts an inspired colourway, it’s also ready to hit Yellowstone’s trails, with the top half rocking the sturdy CORDURA fabric and bottom injected with Torsion tech.
The National Parks Foundation x adidas ZX 8000 ‘Yellowstone’ has been locked in to release on May 22, and a slew of retailers throughout the EU will be receiving pairs. If you’re looking to cop Stateside, then you’ll be able to on the adidas US webstore.
