Just a couple weeks after news of the Dragon Ball Z x adidas collection leaked, the first model from the collection has appeared. And luckily, this collection doesn’t look like it will simply feature one, two, or seven dragon balls knitted into familiar uppers. Yeezy Mafia declared on Instagram that the first sneaker — a purple and white Yung-1 — will take after the villainous Frieza, meaning that the sneakers will likely tie to DBZ characters.
A post to the Mafia’s newly formed Facebook group, Global Exchange, shares further models, showing what could be a ‘Cell’ Prophere and naming the Kamanada and EQT as upcoming colabs. Granted, they’re only images posted to an FB group — and no one from adidas has confirmed the entire collection’s existence — but that’s not dampening our hopes.
As for when to expect the ‘Frieza’ Yung-1s, we'll wait almost as long we did for Goku to charge his Spirit Bomb; Yeezy Mafia report it will drop in August.
