The END. x adidas Continental 80 ‘German Engineering’ Is Made in DeutschlandRelease: 27 March 2021
There really is no END. to the online boutique’s extensive roster of sneaker collaborations, and the next addition to the collection is another effort with adidas. This time it’s the Continental 80, which has briefly stepped out of the limelight lately, but is set to receive the right attention once again. Dubbed the ‘German Engineering’ pack, there is a lot of thematic inspiration from classic Deutsch racecar liveries of yesteryear, namely the Martini Racing Porsche and BMW M Sport. And in keeping with the straightforward pack name, these Contis are indeed Made In Germany.
Starting with tumbled leather uppers, these Continental 80s are decorated via coloured textile strips replacing the usual leather stripes. The bright white pair receives the markings of the BMW M Sport in red and blue, while the creamier colour displays darker tones of green, navy and red. This latter pair additionally receives a contrast nappy suede toe bumper. The collaboration is similarly plush inside, with full leather lining and footbeds that proudly call out the origin of manufacture in gold stamping. It’s also unmistakably an END. colab thanks to the co-branded heel tabs and tongue logos. In a final callout, the text ‘Made In Germany’ is displayed on the lateral heel counter, with an individually numbered edition of 500 underneath.
Raffles are open now for the END. x adidas Continental 80 ‘German Engineering’ pack, which will release on March 27.
