After teaming up with PUMA earlier this year, Australian skate label Butter Goods are now rolling out a full collaborative capsule of clothing and sneakers that taps into the nostalgia of the 1990s.

Consisting of two takes each on the Slipstream and Basket, Butter Goods rework PUMA’s basketball classics with playful material and colour switchups. First seen in the 1980s, the on-trend Slipstream model has been cut down into a low-top sneaker for more street steez. As it keeps true to its all-leather uppers and gum rubber soles, skateboarding is a breeze. BG leave their mark on white and black colourways with green contrast accents and a stamped heel counter.

Meanwhile, the Basket recalls the corduroy textures of BG’s inaugural PUMA colab, and adds saturation in the form of rich blue and peach colours to the uppers. While this duo can hit the decks in a pinch, the dressed-down appearance is definitely more suited for lounging time.

‘We were so excited to work with a brand with such a rich history and deep archives,’ said Butter Goods of the collection. ‘The most exciting thing about the design process is the discovery both for us as the people designing but also in the finished product for the customer.’

The Butter Goods x PUMA collaboration is available now from PUMA and select retailers.
