The Broken Arm and Salomon Get Comfy With the Rx-Travel 6.0
Having started their journey in the world of skiing and snowsports, have since established their footing in the sneaker world with the introduction of their sportstyle division. The brand ventured into that category partly thanks to Paris-based retailer, , who approached Salomon in 2015 after a customer asked if they carried the Snowcross sneaker. The conversation evolved into the duo’s first collaboration, and since then the pair have periodically come together to work on Salomon’s sportstyle staples. For 2024, the partnership continues with The Broken Arm x Salomon , which will be dropping in June.
Working atop the Rx-Travel silhouette, the duo have honed in on a mix of simplicity and comfort for this colab. The pair starts off with a breathable black mesh base and sees the focus placed on the finer details – in this case, the multicoloured, intricate exposed stitching patterns that work their way across the uppers, highlighting the shoe’s structure as they go. Underfoot the pair features a soothing, moulded insole as well as a Fuze Foam EVA midsole unit, made with up to 30% natural rubber, a nice call-back to Salomon’s connection to the great outdoors. Up top, the pair comes finished with Salomon’s signature Quicklace system, which provides a secure fit. Salomon branding arrives in the form of a stitched tag at the ankle, while The Broken Arm’s co-sign graces the insoles.
The Broken Arm x Salomon Rx-Travel 6.0 will touch down at The Broken Arm on June 12, with Salomon and other retailers to follow on June 20.
