The Broken Arm Are Salomon Shepherds
French outdoor tech brand Salomon have well and truly infiltrated the urban jungle lifestyle market in 2025. Hype collaborations and sought-after GR releases have cemented their spot, but one of the most important figures in their rise is Parisian retailer The Broken Arm. Since 2015, The Broken Arm and Salomon have joined forces on the French brand’s most obscure models, like this latest, shepherd-inspired Pastoral.
Salomon’s Pastoral model leans very much into true old-school hiking boot territory, but is in fact a new silhouette in the brand's lifestyle-focused S/LAB imprint. The Broken Arm were inspired by the ‘idea of a non-sedentary shepherd, who moves with his flock to seek out natural fodder resources and thus help maintain a global natural ecosystem that encompasses animal husbandry’ for their colourway. The upper uses a creamy, thick mesh base layer, complemented by green leather mudguard, pony-hair overlays and subtle red accenting.
