The Broken Arm and Salomon Are Back On the Outpro MatryxRelease: 3 November 2020
The Broken Arm and Salomon are back together again, and they’ve just revealed their eighth collaborative endeavour on the exceptionally durable Outpro Matryx. Mixing together heavy-duty hard-wearing tech with tasteful trail influences, the Parisian boutique has hit the nail on the head with this one.
Instead of being directly inspired by hiking culture, The Broken Arm have given birth to their Outpro Matryx by taking cues from how artists are beginning to adapt their style, wearing and using trail-ready items. Celebrating the release, they’ve tapped Belgian artist Simon Laureyns to create an amazing exhibition in their store to be shown alongside the drop.
Unlike many of the collaborations we’ve seen from the duo, this release goes for a toned down mostly-black combo accentuated by small pops of colour and a grey midsole. However, we think for this link-up they were more focused on the tech-side because it’s been infused with the toughest in Salomon’s arsenal.
The upper boasts the hard-wearing Matryx fabric, while the outsole has been hit with rugged Contagrip rubber. A GORE-TEX membrane keeps your feet dry, and the overall vibe is completed with the usual Salomon Quicklace system.
If you’re in Paris, go check out the impressive in-store installation. If not, hit The Broken Arm website to score a pair.
