The atmos x adidas Superstar Celebrates the Legendary Dog, Hachikō

Hidefumi Hommyo’s atmos continue to link-up with adidas for high profile sneaker collaborations, the duo most recently releasing the ZX 8000 and Superstar ‘Denim Pack’.

Now, the Tokyo streetwear boutique is tapping the adidas Superstar colourway inspired by the heart-breaking story of Hachikō. An extremely loyal Japanese Akita dog, Hachikō waited for his owner (Hidesaburō Ueno) every day at Shibuya Station, something that continued nine years after his owner’s death

Manufactured with beige faux fur, the material obviously references Hachikō’s coat. Down below, we also have a printed address marking Hachikō’s statue which sits outside Shibuya Station. On the insoles, the text ‘YOU MAKE SHIBUYA’ is printed next to a cartoon dog. Finally, branded silver plates are introduced on the tongues. Other goodies include an extra pair of cream laces.

This heart-warming atmos x adidas Superstar is scheduled to drop on September 18. The price is set at $140.
