The atmos x adidas ‘Crazy Animal Pack’ Unleashes a Beastly SuperstarRelease: 3 October 2020
Well, atmos aren’t stopping with the animal prints anytime soon. Their latest ‘Crazy Animal Pack’ in collaboration with adidas has previously captured pelt patterns on the likes of the ZX 8000 and ZX Alkyne models, and now the iconic Superstar has received a ferociously furry redo.
The Superstar’s multiple panel construction provides plenty of real estate for atmos to throw down creature coats from cheetahs, tigers, snakes, and even a bit of giraffe in the mix. Materials range from velvet on mesh for the spottier arrangements, while the scalier textures are embossed onto suede, such as the stripes and eyestays. Keeping with the ‘damn nature, you scary!’ ethos, the overall palette involves beige, brown, black, and orange to transport wearers to the African savannah – at least momentarily.
In fact, there’s so much Animalia going on, there’s no need for atmos to display their branding anywhere. If you’ve been into sneakers for a hot minute, you’ll know that all-over animal prints are atmos’ signature move. And, as crazy as these Shelltoes are, the left and right feet are symmetrical. Balance is achieved.
So far, it looks like the ‘Crazy Animal Pack’ Superstar will release exclusively at atmos’ Asian locations and webstore on October 3, and limited pairs could make it Stateside. Fingers and paws crossed.
