The Animal Crossing x PUMA Colab is Dropping Within Hours
Animal Crossing’s collaboration with is about to land. News of the biggest – if not at least by its sheer depth – was first broken a couple of weeks ago, and now this weekend will see it finally drop. Furthermore, it won’t just be a pair of Wild Riders as previewed last time: joining them in a massive capsule is the and in full family sizing, plus an extensive collection of matching apparel.
Releasing to celebrate the ongoing success of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the scenes, motifs and characters of the popular Nintendo Switch game are translated onto the PUMA silhouettes.
The Suede starts with a light grey upper that is then accented with a stamped leaf pattern Formstripe, which is also double bordered with blue and light teal. And its rubber cupsole is swapped to an ice blue version to match.
The Future Rider is a sleekly sculpted revamp of PUMA’s retro models, and its Animal Crossing–inspired pastels of baby pink and teal translate quite well onto the suede and nylon upper combo.
As seen in the reveal, the Wild Rider is the most detailed of the pack, with patterns sublimated onto the upper and lining, among a thematic colourway and extra gum soles.
