The Air Zoom Type Brings Nike's Running Tech to the Streets

Nike’s R&D department pulled out all the stops when designing the record-breaking Air Zoom Alphafly Next%, and now they’re translating that tech for the streets.

The Air Zoom Type evolved from the original Alphafly, tweaking the design for everyday wear. The jam-packed sole unit is equipped with two Zoom Air pods in the forefoot and a TPU plate for stability, while an ultra-thicc midsole brings all-day cush.

The upper keeps things simple with a sleek construction and soft faux-suede finish.

Debuting in black and white iterations, the Air Zoom Type will drop through Nike on June 5.
