The 20th anniversary celebrations for the Nike Air Presto have so far unearthed some archival gems for adoring fans of the ‘T-Shirt For Your Feet’. The next colourway releasing real soon goes right to the roots of the stretchy sneaker, and transfers the very blueprints that led to the Presto’s creation onto its upper.

So, naturally the main colour up top is indeed blue (which is being referred to as ‘Soar’) like the design sketches – a theme that Nike similarly explored on the Air Presto Escape ‘Korea Development Centre’ from the early-2000s, which displayed the layout of one of their R&D labs. The heel crash pad is shaded blue to match, while hot red accents on the external lace cage, heel counter, and forefoot outsole create the fire and ice effect. White inserts elsewhere add some crispy contrast, and the insoles bear 20th anniversary branding to mark the occasion.

A colourway like this could only have come from Leon Witherow, aka prestology, arguably the world’s foremost Air Presto collector and enthusiast, whose time at Nike so far has been instrumental in reviving other OG Prestos like the ‘Australia’ edition. The Air Presto ‘Soar’ will be available directly from Nike come November 20.
