Nike's Air More Uptempo Shows Love For Atlanta

Following a stop in Chicago, the is hitting the road and heading south to Atlanta. A new version of Scottie Pippen's iconic in-your-face silhouette has emerged with the abbreviation 'ATL' stepping in for the standard 'AIR.'

Given Pippen's 11-year stint with the Bulls, it only made sense for a red and black Uptempo to emerge in honour of Chicago. So why Atlanta, you might ask? While have yet to formally announce the special edition make-up and provide its back story, it seems likely that the colourway is a reference to the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympic Games, where Pippen took home a gold medal as part of Team USA. This reasoning would also explain the sneaker's green and gold colour scheme.
